“Diligence and perseverance are innate virtues; they cannot be forced or taught. Never waste energy trying to change someone; focus entirely on selecting the right people. Those endowed with natural diligence are lighthouses—radiating confidence, energy, and hope.”

During a business trip in May 2019, discussing executive management with a fellow entrepreneur, we arrived at an identical, hard-won conviction: diligence and perseverance cannot be manufactured through corporate training.

You cannot convince an unmotivated person to care deeply about optical precision. Therefore, an executive’s highest duty is not reform, but rigorous selection. Find individuals who possess an innate reverence for craftsmanship.

People with natural diligence and perseverance are living lighthouses in an organization. They emanate positive energy, inspire confidence, and show everyone around them what is possible.
